Coronation Street actress Vicky Entwhistle has hinted she might be stepping back from social media after expressing her frustration with the platform.
Tragically, the family's appeal for information on social media was met with cruel trolls posting fake death news and making comparisons between Jay's mother and Karen Matthews, who was infamously imprisoned for orchestrating her own daughter's kidnapping to claim cash rewards. Her message prompted a wave of concern from fans in the comments section, with one pleading: "Hope you're not leaving as it sounds like you are, will miss your tweets if you do," while another commented: "That sound as if you are leaving Vicky. I hope not, I look forward to your tweets. It is a toxic world but put two fingers up to it and never stop being wonderful you. X."
Despite a week-long search involving police, mountain rescue teams, drones, fire service personnel and sniffer dogs, all rallied to help bring Jay safely home - he's still missing.
