The National Diversity Awards celebrate the achievement of the positive role models who have promoted equality in today's society. The 11th edition of the ceremony was hosted by Clare Balding who spoke about the significance of the event.
The 52-year-old broadcaster said: "It's an important spotlight on those who make the world a better place for the full rainbow of society." The ceremony has been a roaring success since the first edition as thousands of unsung heroes have been rewarded for their inspiring work. Charities, role models and community heroes were recognised at the glamorous event for their important work in enhancing equality, diversity and inclusion. There were thousands of nominations for the awards this year with categories including Positive Role Model, Diverse Company and Lifetime Achiever.
