Coronation Street star Channique Sterling-Brown has been branded 'insane' as she was flooded with messages from her soap co-stars after sharing a string of glamourous news snaps celebrating the women of Weatherfield.

It comes after Channique revealed the downside to her incredible weight loss journey in a heartfelt Instagram post. Having recently completed the Manchester 10k marathon alongside some of her co-stars, the 27-year-old proudly displayed her golden medal and opened up about her significant weight loss journey over the years. She admitted to losing 100lbs after years of being "obsessed" with her weight and trying various "diets, shakes and tablets".
Instead, she chose to follow women who more accurately mirrored her own skin colour, shape, and abilities. It was this pivot in mindset that led to her success, as she started prioritising her health and fitness. The TV star confessed: "I stopped seeing the gym as punishment for being fat and started focusing on fitness. For the first time ever I started enjoying working out, my high school PE teacher would be shook.
