Vicky Myers has been a hit with fans since she arrived on the show
The soap star star first arrived on the Cobbles as DS Lisa Swain in 2021. The character was a hit with fans and has recently been upgraded to become a full time cast member.
DS Swain is an LGBTQ+ character and Vicky said it has been a privilege to represent the community on screen. She said: "I've had letters from this one young lady who really opened up about her journey and her coming out story. It is a real privilege and honour to portray this character. "Especially in her early teens and her formative years with Lisa. She did what she felt was the right thing to do and went back into work. She did that because she thought it was the right thing to do, but, inadvertently, it's pushed Betsy away. There's so much to unpack between the two of them because they're so full of fear."
