The cost of weekly staples in Glasgow supermarkets has rocketed by more than the rate of inflation.
We visited the big six supermarkets, Aldi, Asda, Lidl, Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury’s and noted the prices. While inflation in the UK is running at 10.4% just now and market analysts Kantar found grocery inflation at 17%, the cost of our selected basket of staples jumped by as much as 32% over the year.
