'In the Spring Budget the Government announced it is providing an additional £500 million'
Cost of living support could be available in some parts of the UK in June, putting some of the most hard-up households on high alert.
The Household Support Fund which has been extended to run through the summer to September. This means millions of pounds has been allocated to operate their own emergency funds and decide who should get help. In some areas, support will be automatic while elsewhere people will have to apply. It could mean cash payments entering bank accounts for some households. To find out what is happening where they live, people should head to the 'Household Support Fund' section of their local council's website where the latest information should be available.
