While eyes are on Mana to retain its Michelin star, many industry experts are predicting that Manchester could be in line for another star joining them this year. The 2025 MICHELIN Guide Great Britain & Ireland launch ceremony takes place this evening, and three Manchester restaurants are being tipped for a potential star.

Whilst eyes remain firmly on Mana to retain their Michelin star for another year, many industry experts are also predicting that Manchester could be in line for another star joining them this year. Led by chef Tom Barnes, the restaurant has been making waves ever since it opened in May last year. Located in an old textile warehouse on Federation Street, near the Printworks and NOMA district, the restaurant picked up one of the top prizes at The Good Food Guide Awards 2025 last week.
In fact, it’s become so popular that it is usually difficult to book out a table - with reservations for Skof now normally made months in advance. Regarded as a modern continental restaurant, The Spärrows specialises in handmade dumplings and European pasta, including traditional Swabian Spatzle noodles.
