'Most of us with cars are frustrated and angry at this point'
Residents living on a pothole-ridden road in Nottinghamshire say they have "almost given up" with the council fixing them. Around 30 holes of varying depths and widths have opened up in Marlborough Road, Woodthorpe over the past few years.
"I'm concerned about the potential damage to cars and the tyres. We all pay a lot of council tax and are left wondering where on earth that's going. Geoffrey Davies, also 88, said the road had got "progressively worse" over the years. "Last year said they would resurface the road but all they did was one little bit," he said.
Councillor Neil Clarke, cabinet member for transport and environment at NCC, said: “Our operatives have carried out several inspections on Marlborough Road in Woodthorpe recently, and a number of patching repairs were carried out.
