Planning staff were left “ill-equipped, weren’t properly directed” and had “no sense of vision or focus”, a council leader has admitted. West Northamptonshire Council’s leader Cllr Jonathan Nunn said some staff left its planning services during an interim period before it was formally established in April 2021 and in the wake of it.
