The fire is located near the second switchback of Mallory Cave Trail, about a quarter-mile west of NCAR, is being called the Dinosaur Fire. As of 1:15 p.m., the fire was reported to be about three to five acres, Boulder Office of Emergency Management said. Mountain View Fire Rescue posted a map of the fire's approximate location southwest of Boulder, and said that there do not appear to be any structures threatened.
