A major incident has been declared after a stabbing involving a 'number of casualties'. Merseyside Police were called to Hart Street in Southport at around 11.50am on Monday, July 29. A spokesperson for the force said there are a 'number of reported casualties' and said more details will be confirmed when possible. Police, fire and ambulance are all at the scene and the whole road has been cordoned off. Armed police have detained a man and seized a knife.
