Published: Aug. 21, 2024, 2:36 p.m.MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio – The Cuyahoga County Treasurer’s Office will be in Maple Heights Thursday for its Tax Talk Tour to help property owners navigate their new property tax bill.
New property values were mailed to homeowners in July, showing an average increase of about 32% for residential properties countywide. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Andrews Eastern Orthodox Church at 16029 Maple Park Drive. Topics will include delinquent taxes, property values, assessments, available discounts and exemptions.
The 2024 reappraisal, required by state law, showed values spiking for Cuyahoga County’s roughly 522,000 commercial and residential properties. The increase ranged dramatically throughout the county, from a low of 14.95% in Hunting Valley to a high of 67.38% in East Cleveland, The Tax Talk Tour is free and open to the public.
