A neighborhood is filled with people decrying the communication between homeowners and the homeowners association; however, management says their efforts are in the name of keeping the neighborhood standard consistent.

People living in the Valley Ranch Estates, which sits along the Maple Heights/Garfield Heights border, claim inconsistent communication, a lack of meetings, and aggressive policy enforcement. Ricks lives with her mother and says both of them and other neighbors are unhappy with letters that she believes cite old information and ask for correction within 20 days.Johnson says he would like more of a conversation about fixes and upkeep for homeowners because of the neighborhood’s track record.19 News reached out to Barnett Management. Management says letters are meant to put issues on the homeowner’s radar, and several notices are issued before any fines are handed down.
Barnett management continued the notices as a way to ensure the neighborhood stays at the standard people are accustomed to.
