A father who searched for his daughter's murderer for 22 years killed himself outside a sheriff's office in Texas.
The father of cold case victim Jennifer Harris killed himself outside the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday A father who was searching for his daughter’s killer for over two decades fatally shot himself in front of a sheriff’s office. Jerry Harris killed himself outside of the Fannin County Sheriff’s Office around 9.30am on Tuesday and left three letters.
Six days later, fishermen discovered her decomposing body floating in the Red River, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Her uterus was removed. Jennifer’s cause of death was ruled to homicidal violence. Crime Stoppers offered up to $3,000 for information leading to an arrest. A private investigator in the case, Jim Holloway, last spoke to Harris in 2015 and said he remembered him ‘being so sad and broken down over this that he just didn’t know who to turn to’.
