Over 1,400 flights have been canceled in just 24 hours in Houston.
Officials say they received a report of a fire in the terminal basement at DAL around 4:15 p.m. The fire alarm was activated and passengers and staff were evacuated from the terminal.
The source of the small fire was determined to be an L3 machine in the baggage screening area, according to DAL officials. The fire was quickly extinguished, officials say, and people were let back in around 4:35 p.m. Airport officials claim there were no impacts to air traffic."At approximately 4:15 p.m., Dallas Love Field officials received a report of a fire in the terminal basement, leading to the activation of the fire alarm and subsequent evacuation of the terminal for the safety of passengers and staff.
