Former Gogglebox star Stephen Lustig-Webb has spoken out on being forced to quit Dancing on Ice after he sustained a serious injury during training. The 52-year old was recently revealed as part of the cast for the hit ITV show's 2024 series, however, he had to pull out over the weekend before the show had even began, The Mirror reports.
A spokesperson for Dancing On Ice said over the weekend: "Stephen Lustig-Webb has had to withdraw from the show due an injury he sustained to his ankle during training. He is still very much a part of the Dancing On Ice family, we will be helping to support Stephen and we wish him well with his recovery."Stephen has now spoken out for the first time as he reveals he had to undergo surgery due to the nasty injury he sustained.
The former Channel 4 star was flooded with support from fans as one said: "Gutted for you hope you have speedy recovery." Another added: "Oh noooooooo poor you! Hope Daniel is taking care of you." While someone else asked: "Can you come back to Gogglebox then please whilst you recover? Miss you two but get well soon." A fourth pleaded: "Back to gogglebox lol? Speedy recovery.
Stephen was spotted on Monday wearing a cast on his leg and holding crutches as he went out with his beloved husband and former Gogglebox co-star Daniel Lustig. The couple appeared in high spirits as they left a Sussex pub. Stephen had previously shared his high hopes for his Dancing on Ice stint.
