Benefit payments from the DWP and HMRC will increase in April
Millions of UK benefit claimants who regularly receive cash from the Department for Work and Pensions and HMRC will see their payments rise next month.
Every year, letters are sent out to everyone who gets these benefits to let them know how much they will get over the new financial year. These letters should arrive before the start of the new financial year on April 6, 2024. The easiest way to work this out, if you are paid every four weeks, is to check when your next payment is due in relation to Monday, April 8. From there, you can calculate when the new rates will be applied to your award and how much you can expect to receive at the end of your next assessment period.
