Everton new manager David Moyes will not have a big January transfer kitty to play with,Moyes has returned to Goodison Park, replacing sacked boss Sean Dyche and signing a two-and-a-half-year deal with the Merseysiders.The Scot is aware of the financial situation and will have to work under significant restrictions for the mid-season transfer window, which shuts on 3 February.
It is believed Everton will be restricted to loan signings for the January window – and one domestic spot remains open for use this month. Moyes has already spoken in the media since his return, insisting he is keen to bring in “elite” players for the opening of the club’s new stadium in time for the 2025-26 campaign.Sources say the transfer budget will be boosted for the summer window should he secure the club’s Premier League status in the remainder of this season.
