Everton Football Club has announced the return of David Moyes as their new manager. Moyes previously led Everton from 2002 to 2013, achieving success including an FA Cup Final appearance and multiple European campaigns. He most recently won the UEFA Europa Conference League with West Ham United.
Since then, he has managed Real Sociedad, Sunderland, before two stints at West Ham, leading them to a 2022/23 Europa Conference League triumph, which was Moyes’ first-ever major trophy win as a manager.“ Everton Football Club is delighted to welcome back David Moyes as their new Manager, effective immediately," read the statement.
“I’m excited to be working with The Friedkin Group and I am looking forward to helping them rebuild the club.“Now we need Goodison and all Evertonians to play their part in getting behind the players in this important season so we can move into our fabulous new stadium as a Premier League team.”Now, two of Moyes’ former Everton players from his first stint in charge have had their say.
