Declan Donnelly keeps head down on dog walk after revealing Ant McPartlin arrest ‘destabilised’ him
Declan Donnelly recentlyAnd the Britain’s Got Talent star looked deep in thought as he took his dog, Rocky, for a walk in Chiswick, following his candid chat.
The 43-year-old kept his head down on the stroll, opting for a pair of black tracksuit bottoms, a grey jumper and a gilet.Dec’s outing comes after he opened up about being ‘destabilised’ over Ant’s arrest last year, which led to him returning to rehab for the second stint. Ant was charged with drink-driving, fined £86,000 and banned from getting behind the wheel for 20 months after a three-car crash at the beginning of last year.During that time, the dad-of-one presented the rest of their Saturday Night Takeaway shows solo, and was later joined by Holly Willoughby for I’m A Celebrity.And he explained his pal’s drink-driving conviction derailed his own life,‘I had some counselling, and I still do. Just counselling. Therapy.
When asked about the arrest, Dec admitted he wanted to ‘punch’ his on-screen partner of nearly three decades.‘How could he do that? I wanted to punch him and hug him at the same time – and I didn’t know which one I wanted to do first,’ he added to the Guardian’s Weekend Magazine. Ant has been open about his struggle with addictions to alcohol and painkillers, and completed a stint in rehab back in 2017, and once again last year.
