Moira Deeming says it is “unavoidable” that her defamation battle against Victorian Liberal leader will “end up in court” as her lawyers prepare to issue John Pesutto with third legal notice over 'more defamatory statements' he allegedly published.
Ms Deeming was expelled from the parliamentary wing of the Victorian Liberal Party following her attendance at a Let Women Speak rally that was gatecrashed by neo-Nazis.
Speaking to Sky News Australia’s Peta Credlin, Ms Deeming said that it now seemed “unavoidable” that the issue would end up in court. “As I understand it from my lawyers, he’s made it very clear that he thinks he’s done nothing wrong and he’s happy to contest it in court.”
