Mackenzie Hunt left Everton in the summer to sign for Fleetwood Town
Mackenzie Hunt has been reflecting on his summer exit from Everton after a 15-year association with the club. At the end of June the young left-back was one of 10 players, alongside the likes of Andre Gomes , who it was announced would be leaving the Blues. Hunt was a regular on the bench for Sean Dyche 's first team last season, without ever making it on to the pitch, and was offered a new one-year contract to remain at Goodison Park .
'As soon as I made the decision to leave Everton my agent was speaking to a lot of clubs and Fleetwood were the keenest out of anyone. 'I met the manager, Charlie Adam, had a look round the training ground, and went from there.' Liverpool-born Hunt first went into Everton when he was six years of age before moving to Dubai. He returned to England and the Blues at 13 and remained at the club until his decision to move on.
