DepEd said regional directors are authorized to start the expansion phase of in-person classes following President Duterte’s approval. In the National Capital Region alone, there are 28 pilot schools that will resume classes on Feb. 9 while the rest of the 188 identified schools will progressively start their classes from that day onward.

The DepEd said the main protocols and standards outlined in the Joint Memorandum Circular No. 001 with the Department of Health will be applicable.
