SAN DIEGO — Part of State Route 76 was temporarily shut down in North County Saturday after to a deputy-involved shooting near the intersection of Mission Road and Via Montellano , sheriff said.
According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department on X, no deputies were hurt and a suspect is in custody at a local hospital. "Highway 76 is closed westbound from Camino Del Rey and eastbound at East Vista Way. Please avoid the area and find alternate routes," officials said.
