The skin expert has issued some hygiene advice not everyone may agree with.
Showering daily might seem like you're doing yourself and everyone else around you a favour, but a dermatologist says that isn't the case.
Appearing on the American morning programme Today, Dr Stevenson said: "You should be showering, bathing, or cleansing yourself every two to three days." Now because soap is a detergent, it breaks down the top layer of oil on your skin, which protects your skin barrier and keeps cells hydrated. However, an excessive use of soap could entirely remove these oils, leaving you with irritated skin.
