IT Operations is responsible for managing IT resources to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness, supporting the overall function of the business. As an application engineer, your role will involve maintaining the health of operating systems and applications, providing support, monitoring systems, and assisting in resolving incidents while meeting service level agreements.Daily, weekly, and monthly monitoring and reporting on server health status, exceptions, and transactional message throughput.Responsible for troubleshooting, solution-finding, and continuous improvement relating to transactional message flow.Core Production Issue, change control management, and escalation facilitation within the business.Implement and facilitate automation solutions that reduce the number of queries received by the support teams.ITIL Service management experience is advantageousProficient in SQL and similar programming languages.Demonstrates personal motivation and a positive attitude.Values quality and produces high-quality work at all times. Good verbal and written communication skills, including an extensive vocabulary of general language and ICT terminology.Operating systems – Good working knowledge of installation, maintenance, scripting, configuration, security, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting: Windows, Linux Application Servers – Working knowledge of installation, configuration, monitoring, tuning and troubleshooting:Functional knowledge of network protocols and connectivity troubleshooting.Log file analysis / Troubleshooting skills. The final remuneration package offered by the employer will be determined based on market standards, considering the candidate’s qualifications, skills, and level of experience. The employer retains the prerogative to provide a remuneration package that aligns with industry norms and the specific attributes of the selected candidate.
