Portugal international Jota was given treatment at the time and initially played on before he was forced to concede defeat and come off for Darwin Nunez, with the Reds 1-0 up thanks to Mohamed Salah's penalty. Jota lasted just 31 minutes before being replaced by Uruguay striker Nunez, who caught the eye following his introduction, setting up Curtis Jones for what ended up being a penalty that was overturned by referee Brooks after a check at the pitchside monitor.
