Disgraced Blackpool hotelier slapped with suspended jail sentence launches bid to re-open
A hotelier who was given a suspended jail sentence after flouting health and safety rules is hoping to re-open his Blackpool hotel.
Mr Diamond was stripped of the licence for the 36-bedroom Cornhill in January 2019 by a council licensing panel after statutory improvement notices were ignored. Health and safety chiefs had been alerted to the dangers by complaints from guests who had stayed at the hotel.
