How people voted in the U.S. federal district which contains the national capital of the City of Washington
Voters in the District of Columbia have gone to the ballot box for the US presidential election 2024.
The first candidate to 270 Electoral College votes wins the presidency - with the District of Columbia allotted three of these electoral votes.While the winner is often declared on the night - the final result will not be known for days. Whoever does win will serve four years in the White House, starting from their inauguration on January 20, 2025.
