New Nottingham Forest striker Divock Origi has detailed the conversation he had with Steve Cooper before deciding on a move to the City Ground.
He also spoke glowingly about Cooper and the brief discussion they shared before Origi arrived, as well as his personal ambitions for the 2023-24 season. On what attracted him to Forest, he said: "For me it was the approach, the ambitions of the team and my personal ambition. I felt they were aligning and there is something special going on. So for me it was an easy choice.
Speaking to head coach Cooper before moving was something that helped him choose Forest over other potential suitors. On that conversation, Origi said: "It was good. You can see the work he's doing and the energy he's bringing. I could tell from afar before I spoke with him.
