The Republican has been handed his best Arizona polling numbers yet, on the same day that Kamala Harris heads to the border.
A new poll has delivered former President Donald Trump his biggest lead yet in Arizona on the same day that Vice President Kamala Harris is heading to the border to convince voters she can be trusted on immigration. The poll from USA TODAY/Suffolk University shows Trump with a 6-point lead over Harris. Conducted between September 21 and 24, it shows that out of 500 voters polled statewide Trump leads 48 percent to 42 percent. The poll has a 4.4 percent margin of error.
Harris' primary immigration policy is a call to bring back the bipartisan border bill which was blocked by Senate Republicans, including JD Vance, after Trump took a stance against it in a bid to bring immigration to the forefront throughout the election. The bill was also voted down by members of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus, who found the bill to be too punitive and to not provide enough support for immigrants who had resided in the United States for a long time.
