Mick Kennedy says of all their Premier Sports Cup clashes, he is relishing the chance to face McCabe's men the most
East Kilbride boss Mick Kennedy insists he is looking forward to facing Airdrie onians more than he is their glamour game with Aberdeen in the Premier Sports League Cup next month.
The club are away to the Diamonds on Tuesday, July 13 before hosting the Dons at K-Park the following Saturday. But Kennedy is so full of admiration for how Airdrie player/boss Rhys McCabe sets out his side that he is relishing that encounter and reckons it will be a feast for the eyes. “Airdrie won the SPFL Trust Trophy last season and had a good run in this cup as well so we know how tough it will be. I’m just really looking forward to it. It excites me. As a coach it is challenging mentally and it will be interesting to see how we do against all these teams. Nothing will change in terms of how we approach the games. We will try to impose our style as much as we can.”
