JON JOHNSON It was officially called an end-of-the-year press conference, but Dothan United president Steve Donner rightfully suggested it was more of a family reunion.
The setting was the same as when the official name, mascot and logo of the new franchise was revealed back in January. “I think anyone who has been around sports teams know that you don’t build a winning championship team in one season … it takes a little bit of time. I think all of us are a little bit antsy – we want to win right out of the gate – but I think what happened this year is we built a tremendous base for our future on and off the field.”
