Health Minister Mark Butler has shot down suggestions the sales and use of e-cigarettes be regulated similarly to tobacco products, saying it would 'normalise' the practice. 9News
Speaking to ABC Radio, Butler said in Victoria alone the state's health hotline had received more than 50 reports of kids aged under five being poisoned from vapes.
"We only saw research released earlier this week that confirms that if you vape, you're three times more likely to take up cigarettes," he told"So, having made all that effort to drive down cigarette use in Australia and around the world, we've let this issue of vaping, frankly, get away from us."But Butler claimed a "black market" through many stores broke that law, including selling nicotine vapes to teens.
