"In late 2015 when we started this off, demand then was about 30 trucks a month. Last month we achieved nearly 1200 trucks delivered across the country," Barber said.
Initially, Queensland saw the greatest demand but now Victoria and NSW have become the company's strongest markets.Sales in June were up 85 per cent on the same period last year and each month sees around 1200 trucks roll off the production line and onto the streets. While it's clear the trucks are loved by many, they're loathed in equal measures by some other drivers who claim they're too big for suburban roads and car parks.
"You pick your place, you're not going to take this thing to Westfield and park it undercover," Davey says.In recent months, social media has been lit up with photos showing the big trucks taking up multiple parks and blocking driveways and even disabled spaces."They're not the biggest things on the roads, there's a lot of other bigger vehicles on the roads at the moment," Barber said.
