Most people claiming certain disability benefits received £150 in the summer
The Department for Work and Pensions has addressed claims that some people are receiving a second £150 cost of living payment. Most people claiming certain disability benefits, including Personal Independence Payment and Attendance Allowance, received the cash between June 20, 2023 and July 4, 2023.
This means if you were awarded a benefit payment at a later date, and it was backdated, you may still receive the £150 cost of living cash even after July 4, 2023, reports the Mirror. Some people may also receive the money after the original timeframe if they changed the account their benefits are paid into. The DWP has confirmed only one £150 disability cost of living payment has been paid this year.
