Millions of state pensioners across the UK are set to receive a £470 increase in their income next year when the new State Pension rates come into effect. The Labour party confirmed an uprating to pensions in the autumn Budget last month, committing to the Triple Lock to ensure pensioners are protected during their retirement.
The Department for Work and Pensions has now confirmed the exact amount the State Pension will increase from April under the new 2025 to 2026 rates. The full rate of the New State Pension is set to rise from £221.20 to £230.25 per week.
