Pensions Minister Emma Reynolds has indicated that an update on State Pension age compensation for WASPI women could be forthcoming "in the coming weeks". This development comes amid pressure on the Department for Work and Pensions to issue a statement before Christmas .
In response, Pensions Minister Emma Reynolds stated: "The Ombudsman took six years to consider a range of complex cases, and we are looking at their complexity. I was the first Minister in six years to meet representatives of the WASPI campaign."Last month, Emma Reynolds confirmed that the DWP has been exploring the costs of establishing a compensation scheme for women born in the 1950s who were impacted by changes to their State Pension age.
