The High Court has granted permission for a judicial review of controversial new DWP reforms

DWP recently confirmed plans to change the "scoring" of the work capability assessment from 2025, making it more difficult for disabled people to qualify for higher social security payments.

Ms Clifford believes "disabled voices should be heard" and has slammed the reforms, which could see some disabled people lose as much as £390 each month. Many others would also face new sanctions and risk losing some or all of their benefit payments. Ms Clifford told the Big Issue: “The government urgently needs to listen to Deaf and Disabled people before imposing reforms that would change the lives of so many people for the worse.
