Scots enjoying the sunny weather will be disappointed to hear that conditions are set to turn wet and windy this weekend

High pressure which has been responsible for fine conditions, will move away to the east, to be replaced by a westerly Atlantic regime, bringing periods of winds and rain. Forecasters say this change will start over Northern Ireland then pass over Scotland later that day. Saturday's report predicts plenty of sun for most, bringing "pleasantly" warm temperatures this afternoon. Easter Sunday will see Scotland maintain dry and clear conditions, before developing into blustery showers later that evening.
“This change happens first for Northern Ireland and Scotland, where Sunday afternoon rain will be replaced by blustery showers overnight and into Monday. Elsewhere, a mainly dry, but increasingly cloudy day on Sunday, with rain arriving for parts of Wales and southwest England by evening.Moving to next week, wet and windy weather will continue thanks to fronts bringing bouts of rain on Monday and Tuesday. This will continue until Wednesday, due to a developing low-pressure system.
