Wednesday sees Urawa Red Diamonds host Newcastle United at the Saitama Stadium.The league season in Japan runs from February to December, so it should be a couple of good tests for Newcastle against two sides in the middle of their league season.
Following Saturday’s win at Hull City, Eddie Howe has been talking about flying off to Japan and has named his 29 man travelling squad:“The games take more prominence as you go deeper into pre-season.“Getting the international players back, a bigger group . “Hopefully we will have two really good performances and then we really go into the final part .“Without going into too much detail on the injury, he had a bulge in his disc which needed treatment.“Thankfully there are not too many games at the start of the season, so hopefully he won’t miss too many.
