Buddy McIntyre, an eight-year-old from Merseyside, surprised his family by ordering a Santa Claus costume online to entertain his younger siblings.
A Merseyside schoolboy asked his mum for one thing to be ordered from Amazon so he could follow in his grandad's footsteps. Earlier this week, eight-year-old Buddy McIntyre, from Huyton, was at home when he found the perfect item online to spend his birthday money on. His mum, Ashlea Guy, described Buddy as a 'born entertainer' who 'loves dressing up,' but was surprised when he came downstairs asking for his latest costume.
Ashlea, who is also mum to Daisy, 18, Beau, aged six and five-year-old Minnie, said Buddy wanted to dress up as Father Christmas to entertain his younger siblings and was inspired by a family tradition. Usually, Ashlea's dad Ricky, 62, dresses up as Santa for the kids, but this year, Buddy 'took it upon himself' to take on the role to make the family smile. Ashlea, 38, told the ECHO: 'He loves dressing up, he loves entertaining people - he’s made to be on the stage. 'It’s usually his grandad who dresses up and he hasn’t done it this year so Buddy being Buddy took it upon himself to dress up for his brother and sister. He's just like that. 'He saw it the day before yesterday on Amazon and came downstairs with his birthday money and said can you order me this for Christmas. He couldn't wait to get home from school the next day to try the suit on. 'It was just a surprise to all of us we didn't expect him to do it.' Ashlea captured the moment Buddy took on the role of Santa Claus on camera, which sees Buddy dressed in the traditional red suit, hat and beard. In the hilarious video, Buddy sits on the couch by the Christmas tree with a Santa sack, trying to give presents to his younger brother and sister, Beau and Minnie, asking them to sit on his knee and ask him what they want for Christmas.
