A treat in store for many
Elmer the elephant is set to pop up across Blackpool as part of a fundraising public art trail. Around 30 giant replicas of the children's character will be dotted around the seaside resort as part of the charity scheme to benefit Brian House.
Each one will be a different design and inspired by David McKee’s popular children’s books. They will each be sponsored by a local business or organisation and placed around key landmarks, streets, and open spaces across Blackpool. The larger sculptures will also be joined by a herd of mini Elmers, which will be decorated by children and young people from Fylde coast schools, colleges and youth organisations.
