Emmerdale Anthony actor Nicholas Day has had an impressive acting career with roles in The Crown and Minder
ITV Emmerdale is set to welcome two new characters as Ruby Fox-Milligan's estranged family arrives in the village following her mother's death. Ruby's father Anthony, played by Nicholas Day, and her daughter Steph, portrayed by Georgia Jay, will be making their way to the Dales.
Nicholas has had a varied career, with roles ranging from Detective Sergeant Michael Morley in Minder to Jim Prior in The Crown. He also appeared in series one of BBC drama New Tricks as Deputy Assistant Commissioner Donald Bevan. Emmerdale fans are in for a treat as Nicholas and Georgia join the cast, bringing with them plenty of intrigue and family drama. Nicholas, whose character on the soap is described as an older man who's mellowed over time and seems charming to outsiders, although his daughter Ruby hasn't seen him for more than three decades, expressed his delight at being part of the show: "I've been made so welcome in the Emmerdale family.
