Manchester United great Eric Cantona has hinted that he would be open to taking on a role at the club under new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Having already taken Omar Berrada from Manchester City, the club is also very keen to secure the services of Dan Ashworth, who they wish to install as their inaugural sporting director. Amid the sweeping changes that are being made, Cantona, who spent five years at United as a player, has suggested he would be interested in a return to M16 in a new role under the new ownership structure - but made it clear he has no intentions of ever becoming manager.
