Man United are exploring midfield reinforcements in the final weeks of the window but an inflated market could see them quoted high prices.
Everton are relaxed about the future of Amadou Onana and are ready to place a 'premium price tag' on their midfielder, according to reports.
Onana arrived at Goodison Park for £33m last summer but Sean Dyche's side are ready to at least double that, with The i reporting that they can point to the market inflation surrounding defensive midfielders. Earlier this week, Moises Caicedo joined Chelsea for £115m, while Declan Rice cost Arsenal £105m
Elsewhere, Sky Sports reports that Benjamin Pavard's move to United is 'less likely' amid Harry Maguire's failed West Ham switch. Ten Hag had reportedly been eyeing Pavard and other defenders as potential replacements for Maguire. The England international could now stay on board for the season.
