The Leeds United head coach was speaking ahead of this Saturday's clash with Norwich City at Elland Road

All-in-all I would label it some progress. Willy is back in team training since last Sunday, so no problems so far. Obviously, he hasn't played for a while, can't be considered 100 per cent, but he looked sharp in training and is definitely a topic for the squad to travel with us and definitely is available for the game, which is definitely good news.

He is doing his rehab here. Also normal progress, but it will also last a couple of weeks until he's back in team training. He's not too far away, he's already training on the pitch, but not with the team so I expect him to be out for a couple of weeks. So it was of course possible to work on special areas, but you can't work on is team training because you don’t have the numbers and also not the key players available because often the key players are the ones involved with the national team, so it's always a bit tricky. I don’t complain about it, it’s just the situation we have to accept.

Right now I just want to talk about how we are capable to win points at a really difficult ground, a really good side, also a side who will definitely be a competitor for the top positions in the table. We want to be prepared and successful. Also, we have many mental awareness days and player wellbeing days and talk on a Sunday morning was quite responsibility, we have to take care of player. But, when it comes down to decisions, it’s we need to win three points. I’m not sure if it makes sense to play in that many games for his development because it doesn’t help his development because he played already on a much higher level, with all respect to the U19s, and we risk injuries, we risk him being burnt out at any point.
