Fiona Wade, known for her role as Priya Sharma in Emmerdale, joins Denis Leary and Catherine Tate in the new sitcom Going Dutch.
A former Emmerdale star has announced an exciting new role alongside a Hollywood great and British comedy royalty. Fiona Wade, 45, who played Priya Sharma in Emmerdale for 12 years, can be seen in new series Going Dutch. She joins Denis Leary, known for his roles in the Ice Age franchise and The Thomas Crown Affair, and Catherine Tate, star of many TV comedies, in the cast.
Denis Leary plays grouch Army Colonel Patrick Quinn, who gets banished to the Netherlands after launching into an ill-thought rant. Fiona took to Instagram to celebrate her new role, saying: “This was an absolute joy to be a part of.. working with these wonderful humans. The brand new sitcom for @foxtv ‘Going Dutch’ is out now on @comedyclubfox & @hulu.' Fiona enjoyed a 12-year stint in Emmerdale and has since appeared in stage show 2:22 A Ghost Story
