Former Leeds United striker Robbie Fowler had his contract as Al-Qadsiah boss terminated last month despite an unbeaten start to the season
Ex-Leeds United striker Robbie Fowler has made his first comments after his contract as Al-Qadsiah manager was terminated last month. The 48-year-old was appointed by the Saudi Arabia second-tier side in June, following coaching stings in India, Australia and Thailand.
Fowler took to X, formerly Twitter, on Monday to post a message concerning his exit, cryptically revealing that he will 'speak more when the time is right'.Fowler posted a picture of himself alongside his former assistant Tony Grant, with both men holding up Peru shirts featuring forward Andre Carrillio's name and number after the pair had worked with him at Al-Qadsiah.
Over the summer Fowler was able to recruit a number of familiar faces, with goalkeeper Joel Robles signing up after his Leeds United contract expired in the summer, while former Wigan Athletic and Sunderland midfielder Max Power also joined the club. Current Leeds skipper Liam Cooper also reportedly turned down a lucrative offer to sign up for Fowler's side.
