The game against Bamber Bridge vets will feature former players of Everton, Arsenal, Manchester City, Newcastle United, Burnley, Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End
Former Blackburn Rovers and Preston North End footballer Tommy Spurr will play in a special All Star charity football match in aid of his son Rio this weekend
Footballers from major clubs such as Preston North End, Manchester City, Burnley, Blackpool and Blackburn Rovers will take part in the match against Bamber Bridge Vets, with all proceeds going to 'All For Rio'. The match will take place at Bamber Bridge FC on Sunday at 2pm.Those wanting to attend the match can make a donation to the charity. The event will also feature live music from musician Connor Banks, as well as a licenced bar and a bouncy castle.
In 2016, he moved to Deepdale to join North End and played 25 times, scoring once, across two campaigns. He played seven times on loan for Fleetwood Town in the 2018/19 campaign, before retiring in the summer of 2019.
